Established in 1958, the City of Pico Rivera City Water System is currently obtaining its supply from a ground water source, 10 active wells that pump water from the Central Basin Groundwater Aquifer through two independent water purveyors: Pico Rivera Water Authority (PRWA) and Pico (County) Water District (PWD).
