The Yorba Linda Water District, a public community water agency, provides water for about 77,513 residents living in the area of Yorba Linda, California. Established in 1909, the Yorba Linda Water District System is currently obtaining its supply from a blend of sources: imported treated surface water from Northern California and the Colorado River by the Metropolitan Water District of Southern California (MWD) via the local wholesaler - Municipal Water District of Orange County (MWDOC); and groundwater from wells that pump water from the aquifer beneath most of northern and central Orange County.
