The City of Frederick Water, under the City Department of Public Works – Water and Sewer Division, provides water for about 54,000 residents living in the area of Frederick, Maryland. Established in 1745, the City of Frederick Water is currently obtaining its supply from a blend of three different surface water sources: 62% Linganore Creek, 24% Potomac River and 14% Fishing Creek.
