The Portland Water Bureau provides water for more than 950,000 residents of Portland, Oregon, and Multnomah, Washington, and Clackamas Counties. Nearly 600,000 of those are direct customers, while 345,000 are wholesale customers. Since 1895, the Portland Water Bureau has collected most of its water from the Bull Run Watershed, while using the Columbia South Shore Well Field as a secondary source.
