Insightful Reviews

We've curated some of the most helpful comments and reviews from people all over the world. Read what they had to say:

“The reason we bought this Kenmore water softwater was to replace the exact same one that lasted 17 years with absolutely no problem. We have called the Co. to ask technical questions about charging and settings, they have been very accommodating and helpful. It's important to know the Co. has excellent Customer Service.” — Penny
“What I love about this water softener: — Has an ultra flow valve. The larger diameter helps keep the water pressure high in all of our faucets and showers when the family is using them at the same time. — Simplicity, no gimmicky “whole home filter” that would slow the water (it’s better to have these filters as point-of-use in the kitchen, don’t need them for hand washing and toilet flushing water). — Selection for sodium or potassium (I like to use potassium pellets). — Interior tank light and backlit status display. — Water flow rate indicator on the display. — Quick and easy to install, I did it in 30 minutes. A few minor things I don’t like: — I wish it had a WiFi feature with an app so it would alert my iPhone of low salt and so I could turn the house water on or off remotely. — I wish it had a sealing gasket around the lid cover, because bugs and spiders get inside this type with the loose fitting plastic lid. (Mine is outdoors sheltered under a roof overhang.) — For some reason the brine well cylinder just sits loose inside the tank, the one on my previous softener was secured to the wall of the tank. Not sure why they designed it to be loose like this. (Not a big deal because the salt holds it in place instead.) Overall despite the minor negatives listed above I still love this softener because the pros (high flow and simplicity) far outweigh the cons.” — Dan
“I got more than 20 years of use out of my old Kenmore water softener, and it was still in working condition when I replaced it. So yeah, I am a big fan of Kenmore water softeners. That aside, now that it’s installed, I couldn’t be happier with it. Just like my old Kenmore water softener, it’s super easy to program and use, and it works wonderfully. I am certain that just like my old Kenmore water softener, it will give me 20+ years of trouble-free service.” — Bill
