“I got this shower filter because of all the minerals we have in our water - I already have a water softener but wanted to filter out the smell of chorine and have purer water for showers. I have a PUR water filter on my kitchen sink and find it necessary for the water we have in our small town. Although our water is safe, we have a lot of lime and the water is highly chlorinated with other chemicals and minerals occurring naturally. I feel like my hair and body gets a cleaner wash and my hair is softer and I have filtered out some things that I don't want. However, it is NOT a water softener and doesn't say that it is. “love this new shower filter. I used to have really dry skin on my back in the winter and itchy as well. My hair/scalp was itchy too . After showering with this filter I felt the difference after a few showers. No more dry skin on my back and the itch went away too. I noticed my hair and scalp felt softer and less itchier. Just hope it last over 6 months.. People complaining about it leaking are rushing when installing it and not reading instructions. watch the instructional video on youtube its simple. make sure to use the teflon tape around the threads, this will help prevent leaks. Also IMPORTANT that you hold a bucket close to the initial use. This will get rid of all the carbon and not splash everywhere in the tub. Run the water for 2-3 minutes on cold water NOT HOT. Also turn it on and off several times. I ran it for about 5 minutes on cold water just to get rid of any access carbon. Once its clear you are done.” — Randy

“This is my first time buying a water filter for the shower, that was really surprised at how easy it was to install, it has good water pressure, it different spray options but not a massage option but that’s ok because the other options are still good.
