“I was a little hesitant to try this water cooler because there was only one review that said it was really loud. There's nothing loud or noisy about this unit, as a matter of fact it's sooo much quieter than my refrigerator. I really like this unit. I've never used a cooler like this before and I'm finding it so convenient - we make drip coffee in the morning and we don't have to stand there while the water is heating up, we can just instantly dispense it out of this unit. Nice! The cool water is great, too. We've used bottle water for years, but always in a crockery dispenser. “We bought this water cooler after lot's of searching. Given the mixed reviews, I was a little hesitant to purchase. However, we have been using this for about 7-8 months and we have had 0 issues with the unit. It's fantastic - cold water is quite chilled and hot water is INCREDIBLY hot. There was never any issues with a foul smell or taste from the machine. Additionally, some reviews say the sound generated by the unit is loud. I really only notice it when first changing the water jug to a new one, for the water to become cold. It only lasts for 1-2 minutes and is not that annoying. Our unit sits in the kitchen and we go through 5 gallons every 1.5 weeks, so it gets a ton of use. Having used a cheaper water cooler in the past, which did not last very long, I can happily suggest this one!” — Hannah

“bought this water dispenser for home use. It works great and is exactly what we wanted. The manual, however, wasn't descriptive enough. There are part you need to clean before you can use it for the first time. The instructions were not clear. But the good news is that their customer service is EXCELLENT. I called 3 times within 2 hours and I got an answer back very quickly at each time. I also got specific instructions on what to do. The instructions I received on the phone were not only more detailed than the manual, but sometimes the representative would actually tell me things that weren't even on the manual! So, be aware of that. If you are not sure about something, I would just call Avalon directly. Overall, I'm happy with the purchase and the customer service.” — Alper
