“The pitcher is easy to assemble, you just need to wash everything before use. The water filter says to rinse it under cool water and shake for a minute. Then you fill the pitcher up entirely, twice, and dump the water (or use for plants) before using. I noticed the third time I filled the pitcher I still saw some particles swimming in the water, so I dumped that as well. Perhaps I didn't do a good job of rinsing the filter. Well the fourth time I filled the water was clear with nothing floating around. I placed it in the fridge to chill and once it was cold I poured my first glass. It tastes crisp and clean. Then came the test, did this REALLY make my water alkeline like it claims? Well, as you can see from the photos the answer is YES! The water tested 8.84 . I was hoping for a 9, but I'll take the high 8 since it actually works as advertised. I love that it comes with TWO filters, each lasting 60 days. “Read instructions carefully, make sure only to fill up with cold water, two filters included. On top of the filter there is a sensor that tells you how many days you have left from 60. It workedthe first day but have not seen it operate since. The filter itself works great and fits in the fridge perfectly.
