“I bought two of these glass jars in 2018. PROS: This is a nice 5-gallon jug with clear, thick glass with an elegant design feature. There are a number of different tops available online, I bought the press-on type that has a pressable tab for dispensing. To dispense the water I lift up the jug and invert it to dispense the water into 1 gallon jars for daily consumption. Which brings me to the cons. CONS: 1. When filled with water, these jugs weigh approximately 42 pounds (based on the density of water) but it certainly feels heavier than 42 pounds. Of course, if the glass has the least amount of moister on it, it takes "considerable effort" to handle. I dropped one last week, which is why I am here today ordering another one, it was not attractive...(smile). At any rate, if weight is a problem, the 3-gallon jugs may be an alternative. There are also handles and dispensers for these types of jugs but I did not buy these particular items so I can comment on them. 2. With the small mouth (about 2 inches across), it will be a bit of a hassle to the clean. I have two and I only fill them with reverse osmosis water so I do not anticipate such a problem.” — Everett
