The Mobile-Soft-Water Portable 16,000 Grain (TM) Unit is a mobile water conditioner that removes heavy metals such as magnesium, calcium, radium, lead, and iron from water. The manufacturer claims that it can treat up to 1600 gallons of water at a rate of 5 gallons per minute with a 10-grain Total Hardness load continuously. A cation resin with 8% cross-link styrene softening resin is added into the tank in half (1/2) cubic feet and it regenerates without electricity. The inlet and outlet connections are made with lead-free nylon material listed in NSF 61. “Fine design, with easy to connect plastic fittings. We find using plastic to plastic screws work best. The unit contains a generous portion of exchanger resin on beads.
