“I cannot say enough good things about this jug. It is I guess a bit more expensive but it is soooooo much nicer than other gallon jugs I have owned. The push down valve is a great and fills a glass quickly. I have not experienced any leaking from either the valve or from the top. In fact, if you don't open the bleeder valve on top of the lid, the flow will first start and then create a vacuum which will stop it from dispensing at all. The carry handle on top is very sturdy and makes it easy to tote along. Now for the insulating properties. We went camping in 80-90 degree heat and this thing kept ice for 2 days and ice tea cold for nearly 4 days. I love this thing so much that I bought the 2 gallon unit as well. Which brings me to Stanley PMI themselves. Upon arrival of my 2 gallon unit it was missing the little rotating spout end so it dispensed just fine but only straight down. I emailed Stanley to see if I could get this little part from them and put it on my cooler. Well, 5 days later they sent me a whole new cooler! Very surprised and delighted with them.” — Carl

“We absolutely love this water jug for camping and road trips! It is small enough to put anywhere in the car but large enough to give our family of 4 ice cold water all day long. It's tipped over many times while driving and it's yet to drip any water at all. The pour spout isn't a dainty little spigot. It is solid and well designed. It pours nicely and can fill up a glass quickly. It is a big flat surface so you can even activate the spigot while holding something in both hands. The closing mechanism is genius. You don't have to screw a cap on (and inevitably have to twist several times before catching the threads...annoying!) This one simply sets on top and then you clamp down and it seals. I was skeptical but, as I mentioned, it has never dripped. Overall I'd say this is one of the best purchases I've made in a while!” — Ron

“I wasn't going to purchase this until I knew 100% that it was BPA free and safe to drink only cold water out of this. Took just a little digging but, it was clearly stated and explained on Stanley's website. I took it apart washed it (very easy) and filled it to check for any water leaks. Not a drop, I even shook it and turned it upside down, not a drop, so, I will speak only of the one I got, it is what they say, and is exactly what I wanted. Naturally it needs to be field tested... but I think it will hold up for a long time...I'm keeping my eye on the spigot, have to see if it holds up. Just a hint: I keep the lid unlatched when not in use, just to keep the silicone from being unduly pressed, I also keep the spigot just tight enough to keep it in place same reason. It is NOT for Hot beverages, they have plenty of other options for that situation.” — Caleb
