Insightful Reviews

We've curated some of the most helpful comments and reviews from people all over the world. Read what they had to say:

“I kind of had to laugh at the reviews that complained about the lid falling off while they poured so I conducted an experiment after I'd been using it for days without any issue of the sort. When my nephew came over, I asked him to pour a glass of water and just as I suspected! He took all 5 of his fingers and wrapped them around the handle, not using his thumb to hold the top the way I do. I'd like to think that mystery is solved. People who had issues with the lid falling off hold the pitcher like a child, simply put LOL. As for my use of the thing, I have a Moccamaster coffee maker that requires filtered water so that was my main reason for purchasing this pitcher. I mostly drink tap water but occasionally pour a glass from here when I want one that's room temperature. When the filter that came with it needs to be replaced, I intend on buying the long-lasting ones that can go for 6 months. In my opinion, it's a good buy and works as advertised!” — Jamie

“Pours out too fast compared to the older versions of the same pitcher. Wider swath of water comes out. Suspect this is intentional - causes a small percentage more water to be used and/or spilled.... meaning..... more filters bought over the lifetime. Also dont like having an item with lithium battery embedded in the top. That makes the top part into toxic waste rather than recyclable plastic.” — Cody
“This is my third BRITA pitcher. I LOVE THEM! But I'm very disappointed in this new one I just bought. Two issues! Very disappointing. The filter change indicator, which flips up to add water to begin the filtering process, does not stay attached. Grrrrrrr. The second problem is the spout to pour the filtered water into a container. It is not a stream, but a flood. I have to fill my water bottles in the sink AND lose at least a whole bottle full of filtered water when doing this several times. When filling my coffeepot, water goes all over the counter and on the floor. I know I could refill the reservoir in the sink, too, but since I've never had this issue before, I forget when I refill the water reservoir. Ugh. I have written to the company and hope they send me a new one. Heck, I could take my hubby out for a nice dinner with how much these things cost. So. So. So. Disappointing. I've LOVED the others and they were perfect!” — Jeremy
