SimPure Activated Carbon Block Filter

SimPure Activated Carbon Block Filter is a standard replacement filter

SimPure Activated Carbon Block Filter

The SimPure Activated Carbon Block Filter is a coconut shell-based replacement filter that adsorbs chlorine's foul odor and taste, as well as other harmful pollutants in water. It can filter 97 percent of sediments and pollutants from water down to a 5-micron level, according to the maker. The cartridge's high porosity design prevents it from clogging before its adsorption capacity is gone, allowing the carbon to be used more efficiently while maintaining a lower pressure drop. The majority of users enjoy the taste of the water it generates. however, a few people claimed the design did not match their filter.

Insightful Reviews

We've curated some of most helpful comments and reviews from people all over the world. Read what they had to say:.

“Our well has an unpleasant odor. After changing to this filter and flushing the remaining old water in the lines, the smell was completely gone except for 1 faucet and we think that is likely to clear up as the hot water tank gets flushed more. We noticed these are good for 6 months while similar filters only claim 3 months. Each filter was individually shrink wrapped and overboxed, then the pair of boxes was sealed inside a thick bag. We believe this helps the carbon remain "activated". The gaskets stayed attached to the filters and made a good seal. IMO as good or better than any similar filter you've heard of.” — Simon
“The SimPure items are significantly heavier indicating more carbon and better filtering. They come packaged well and sealed (I assume to keep the carbon from picking up odor and garbage before use, nice idea. Water odor is perfect and no sediment getting through. Sometime small amounts of rust does appear in the toilets but I've had no issues to date. Routinely I change these at a 6 month interval (I do have city water) and did not notice a significant pressure or flow change at the tap during this period.” — Katie
“Unit did remove the smell as promised. The filter only lasted 2 weeks, then started clogging and causing water pressure issues so bad that water would barely come out of the faucet. I had to buy another brand and replace. Will not purchase these again.” — Timothy
