The North Tiverton Fire District, an independent quasi-municipal agency, provides water services to about 8,969 residents living in the Tiverton area of Newport County, Rhode Island. Founded in 1926, the North Tiverton Fire District purchases treated water from the City of Fall River, Massachusetts, and the Stone Bridge Fire District through metered interconnections. The purchased water is surface water, which originates from the Fall River, Wattupa Reservoir, and Stafford Pond in Tiverton.
