The Town of Cumberland Water Department (CWD) provides water for about 22,864 residents living in the Cumberland area, Rhode Island. Established in 1747, the Cumberland Town Water Department obtains its supply from six groundwater wells, one surface water treatment plant drawing water from the Sneech Pond Reservoir, and a Booster Pump Stations drawing from the Pawtucket Water Supply Board, Woonsocket, Abbott Run Valley Wells and Manville Well.
