Cranston City has multiple water providers: Providence Water and Kent County Water. This page provides information about Kent County Water.
The KCWA (Kent County Water Authority), a nonprofit public utility, provides water for about 88,780 residents living in the West Warwick area. Established in 1946, the Kent County Water Authority purchases approximately 80 percent of its water (surface) from the Providence Water Supply Board through the following reservoirs located in the central part of the state: Scituate, Regulating, Moswansicut, Ponaganset, Barden and Westconnaug reservoirs. The remainder of the supply (groundwater) is collected from the Mishnock and East Greenwich well fields.West Warwick Drinking Water Quality
Consumer Confidence Water Quality Reports
Under the authority of the Safe Drinking Water Act, the EPA requires Kent County Water Authority to assess local water quality each year and distribute a Consumer Confidence Water Quality Report.
