The Lincoln Water Commission provides water for about 21,137 residents living in the Lincoln area. Established in 1955, the Lincoln Water Commission collects supply by purchase through the Providence Water Supply Board drawn from its main source of supply, the Scituate Reservoir, the terminal reservoir in a network of six interconnected reservoirs: the Scituate Reservoir, Regulating Reservoir, Barden Reservoir, Ponaganset Reservoir, Westconnaug Reservoir, and Moswansicut Reservoir.
