The City of Cheyenne Water, under the City Board of Public Utilities (BOPU), provides water for about 58,182 residents living in the area of Cheyenne, Wyoming. Established in 1947, the City of Cheyenne Board Of Public Utilities is currently obtaining its supply from a combination of sources: surface water from Douglas Creek and Crow Creek; and groundwater from 36 wells in four well fields that pump from the High Plains (Ogallala and White River) Aquifers.
