Cheyenne has multiple water providers: Cheyenne Board of Public Utilities and South Cheyenne Water. This page provides information about South Cheyenne Water.
The South Cheyenne Water & Sewer District provides water services to about 10,000 Cheyenne residents in Laramie County, Wyoming. South Cheyenne Water & Sewer District is one of the largest Water and Sewer Districts in the State, which was founded in 1960 and supplies surface and groundwater types to the residents. The surface water sources are the Douglas Creek watershed and Crow Creek watershed, while the groundwater is from wells that draw from the Ogallala and White Rivers. The Douglas Creek water stores in Rob Roy Reservoir, Granite Reservoir, and Crystal Reservoir; Crow Creek water stores in the North Crow, Granite, and Crystal Reservoirs, and South Crow Diversion Structure. About 15% of the water supplied by the District comes from groundwater sources.
