The Fernley Public Works provides water for about 19,790 residents in the Fernley area, Lyon County, Nevada. The Fernley Public Works collects water from six municipal groundwater wells, which are replenished from perennial recharge and seepage from the Truckee Canal. The water is then pumped to the Water Treatment Plant for disinfection and removal of arsenic before being distributed to the residents.
