The Henderson Water, under the City Utility Services Department, provides water for about 275,000 residents living in the Henderson City area. Established in 1953, the Henderson Water collects surface water from Colorado River, which originates from snowmelt flowing down the Colorado Rockies, through the Grand Canyon and into Lake Mead. 15% of Henderson’s water is treated at their own water treatment plant, while the remaining water is supplied by the Southern Nevada Water Authority, from either the Alfred Merritt Smith or River Mountains Water Treatment Facility.

WaterZen Rating

Lead levels in the drinking water of some cities across the United States are too high, potentially creating public-health issues for the people living in those areas.

What about Henderson Water? How much lead is in your drinking water? And how do those levels compare to other cities in the state? We examined data from hundreds of cities across the nation to understand and grade your water quality.

As you can see, Henderson Water received an above-average grade because the amounts of contaminants found in the water supply were lower than most other water providers we've analyzed.
