The Incline Village General Improvement District is a public community water system under the Department of Public Works that provides water to about 9,313 residents living in Incline Village, a location with a census designation on Lake Tahoe's northern coast in Washoe County, Nevada. Founded in 1882, Incline Village General Improvement District System currently obtains its surface water supply from Lake Tahoe. Water drawn from the lake is treated and stored at Burnt Cedar Water Disinfection Plant.
