The Jackson County Public Water Supply District No. 13 provides water services to about 9,002 residents in the Lake Lotawana, Lee's Summit, Blue Springs, Grain Valley, and Oak Grove areas in Eastern Jackson County, Missouri. Water sources include rivers, lakes, streams, ponds, reservoirs, springs, and wells. Founded in 1963, Jackson County PWSD 13 collects water from groundwater wells - Horizontal Collector Well #5 and Wells #1, 2, 3, 4, 6, 7 & 8, and treats water with chemicals approved by the National Safety Foundation.
