The City of Jackson Water, under the City Public Works Department, provides water for about 173,514 residents living in the Jackson area. Established in 1821, the City of Jackson Water collects surface water supply from the Ross Barnett Reservoir and the Pearl River, and are treated and distributed through two (2) state of the art drinking water facilities: O. B. Curtis and J. H. Fewell Water Treatment Plants.
