The City of Gulfport Water System, under the City Department of Water, provides water for about 72,076 residents living in the area of Gulfport, Mississippi. Established in 1898, the City of Gulfport Water System currently obtains its supply from groundwater sources: wells drawing from the Pascagoula Formation and Graham Ferry Formation Aquifers. The city also purchases water from the Harrison County Utility Authority (HCUA) – West District.
