The City of Oxford Water Department, under the City Utilities Department, provides water for about 25,000 residents living in the Oxford area, Mississippi. Established in 1837, the City of Oxford collects supply from a groundwater source, wells drawing from the Meridian Upper Wilcox Aquifer.
