The Mount Laurel Township Municipal Utilities Authority (MLTMUA), a public community water system under the Township Department of Public Works, provides water for about 41,743 residents living in the area of Mount Laurel Township, New Jersey. Established in 1965, the Mount Laurel Township Municipal Utilities Authority System is currently obtaining its supply from a blend of sources: groundwater from the Elbo Lane Water Treatment Facility & Aquifer Storage & Recovery Facility (ASR), which pumps water from the lower Potomac-Raritan-Magothy (PRM) aquifer; and purchased treated water from Willingboro Municipal Utilities Authority (WMUA) and New Jersey American Water Company (NJAWC), which is surface water from the Delaware River Delran Plant and ground water from the PRM and Mount Laurel-Wenonah aquifers.
