The Burlington Township Water, under the Township Public Works Department, provides water for about 22,594 residents living in the Burlington area, New Jersey. Established in 1798, the Burlington Township Water Department obtains its supply from a groundwater source, eight active wells drawing from the following aquifers: Upper Potomac-Raritan-Magothy Aquifer System and Middle Potomac-Raritan-Magothy Aquifer System. This Township can also purchase water from the Burlington City Water Department should the demand arises.

Lead Report (2020)

A-

WaterZen Rating

Lead levels in the drinking water of some cities across the United States are too high, potentially creating public-health issues for the people living in those areas.

What about Burlington Water? How much lead is in your drinking water? And how do those levels compare to other cities in the state? We examined data from hundreds of cities across the nation to understand and grade your water quality.

As you can see, Burlington Water received the best-possible grade because the amounts of contaminants found in the water supply were better than the Public Health Goal and most other water providers we've analyzed.
