The Town of Bennington Water, a public community water and wastewater system under the Town Department of Public Works – Water Division, provides water for about 13,250 residents living in the area of Bennington, Vermont. Established in 1987, the Bennington Water Department System is currently obtaining its supply from a blend of sources: Bolles Brook, a surface water source located in Woodford, Vermont; and Morgan Spring, a pristine groundwater source located right in the Town of Bennington.

Lead levels in the drinking water of some cities across the United States are too high, potentially creating public-health issues for the people living in those areas.

What about Bennington Water? How much lead is in your drinking water? And how do those levels compare to other cities in the state? We examined data from hundreds of cities across the nation to understand and grade your water quality.

As you can see, Bennington Water received an average grade because the amounts of contaminants found in the water supply were higher than most other water providers we've analyzed.
