The City of Gering Utilities provides water service to about 8,500 residents in the Gering and Terrytown areas in Scotts Bluff County, Nebraska. The Water Department of the City of Gering Utilities collects water from nine groundwater wells in Gering and west of Scottsbluff. The wells pump from the City's Midtown and Northwest wellfields, which receive from the North Platte River alluvium.
