The City of Crete Municipal Water System supplies water to about 7,000 residents living in the Crete area of Saline County, Nebraska. The City maintains six wells with depths ranging from 180 to 250 feet, as well as an underground tank and a water tower that serve as storage reservoirs and have a combined two million-gallon capacity. The Water Division of Crete Utilities provides groundwater from rivers, lakes, streams, ponds, reservoirs, springs, and wells.
