The City of Iuka Water supplies water to about 7,223 residents living in the Iuka area of Tishomingo County. The City of Iuka Utilities' Water Department obtains water from four wells that pump groundwater from aquifers. Three wells pump from Paleozoic Aquifer and one draws from Fort Payne Chert Aquifer. The wells have lower and moderate ratings for contamination susceptibility and undergo treatment processes, including disinfection with chlorine to improve the water quality.
