The Margate Water Department provides water for about 23,500 residents living in the Fiar Lawn area, New Jersey. Established in 1909, the City of Margate collects supply from a groundwater source, five wells and two purchased groundwater sources. This system’s source water comes from the following aquifers: Atlantic City “800-foot” sand aquifer and Kirkwood-Cohansey water-table aquifer system.
