The Combined Utilities, Incorporated supplies water to about 6,626 residents in the Lucedale, Barton, Central Basin, and Agricola communities in western and southern George County, Mississippi. Founded in 1980, Combined Utilities collects water from wells that pump from Tipper Catahoula and Miocene Series Aquifers. The wells are located at 9147 Old 63 South, 14330 Hwy 26 West, and 6147 Hwy 613, and the source has a lower susceptibility rating. The Water Department disinfects water with chlorine to control microbes and fluoridates it to prevent dental decay.
