The Gardiner Water District supplies water to about 8,000 residents of Gardiner, Randolph, Farmingdale, and Pittston Cities in Kennebec County, Maine. Founded in 1885, the Gardiner Water District collects water from three gravel-packed wells and the Hallowell Water District through an interconnection. The water is filtered and chemically treated with sodium hypochlorite, fluoride, and orthpolyphosphate before distribution.
