The Borough of Hightstown Water supplies water to about 5,400 residents living in the Highstown area of Mercer County, New Jersey. Hightstown Water Department collects water from three wells that draw groundwater from the Upper Potomac-Raritan-Magothy Aquifer and can also purchase water from the East Windsor MUA. The wells have low to high susceptibility to contamination and are regularly tested and monitored to maintain the water quality. The water contains fluoride additives which promote strong teeth, and is disinfected with chlorine to control microbes.
