The Old Bridge Municipal Utilities Authority (OBMUA) provides water for about 67,215 residents living in the area of Old Bridge, New Jersey. Established in 1985, the Old Bridge Municipal Utilities Authority currently obtains its supply from a combination of sources: surface water from the Delaware and Raritan Canals and also from the Spruce Run and Round Valley Reservoirs, purchased from the Middlesex Water Company; and groundwater from the Old Bridge MUA’s eight wells that pump water from the Old Bridge and Farrington Aquifers.

WaterZen Rating

Lead levels in the drinking water of some cities across the United States are too high, potentially creating public-health issues for the people living in those areas.

What about Old Bridge MUA? How much lead is in your drinking water? And how do those levels compare to other cities in the state? We examined data from hundreds of cities across the nation to understand and grade your water quality.

As you can see, Old Bridge MUA received the best-possible grade because the amounts of contaminants found in the water supply were better than the Public Health Goal and most other water providers we've analyzed.
