The Spring Lake Water Department, a public community water system under the local government, provides water to about 11,270 residents living in Spring Lake, a borough situated on the Jersey Shore in Monmouth County, New Jersey. Founded in 1892, the Spring Lake Water Department System currently obtains its supply from a mix of sources. The groundwater source is from three wells pumped from the Englishtown Aquifer and purchased surface water supply drawn from the Manasquan Reservoir Water Treatment Plant, owned by the Monmouth County Improvement Authority and operated by the New Jersey Water Supply Authority, located in the Allenwood Section, Hospital Road, Wall Township.
