The City of Annapolis Water, under the City Department of Public Works, provides water for about 35,000 residents living in the area of Annapolis, Maryland. Established in 1649, the City of Annapolis Water Plant currently obtains its supply from groundwater sources, eight wells that pump water from three aquifers: the Magothy, Upper Patapsco and Lower Patapsco.
