Barrontown Water Association, a public community water system under the City Department of Public Works, provides water to about 7,730 residents in Petal, Forrest County, Mississippi. Founded in 1966, Barrontown Water Association System currently obtains water from groundwater sources, primarily wells that drill into the Lower Catahoula Aquifer and Middle Catahoula Aquifer underneath the area.
