The Bryan County Rural Water District No. 2 supplies water to about 6,270 residents in the City of Mead, Oklahoma. Bryan County Rural Water District 2 purchases water from the Durant Utilities Authority through a Consecutive Connection and also collects from a groundwater well. Durant's water comes from three surface water sources - Eagle Lake, Blue River Intake, and Eagle Lake Intake. The water is treated with only the National Safety Foundation-approved chemicals during water treatment.
