The Golden Heart Utilities (GHU), a public community water system and subsidiary of Fairbanks Sewer & Water (FSW), provides water for about 78,324 residents living in the area of Fairbanks, Alaska. Established in 1996, the Golden Heart Utilities System is currently obtaining its supply from a groundwater source, three wells that tap the huge aquifer underneath the Tanana Valley.
