The Ocean Shores Water Department is a public community water system under the Department of Public Works that provides water to about 9,347 residents living in Ocean Shores, a small coastal city in Washington. Founded in the 1960s, the Ocean Shores Water Department System currently obtains water from groundwater sources, primarily nine wells that drill into the aquifer underneath the area. Additionally, this well water comes from a shallow aquifer located approximately 95 feet below the surface. Furthermore, the system has four reservoirs with an aggregate total capacity of six million gallons.
