Artesian Water-Fox Hunter Crossing is a subsidiary of Artesian Water Company, the oldest and largest regulated water utility on the Delmarva Peninsula. It provides water to about 7,035 residents living in Middletown in New Castle County, Delaware. Founded in 1905, the Artesian Water-Fox Hunter Crossing System currently obtains its supply from groundwater sources, primarily seven wells that drill into the confined aquifer underneath southern New Castle County. Additionally, the system has three water treatment stations: Fox Hunter Crossing, Hyetts Corner, and Willow Grove, which guarantee the best available technology to ensure a high-quality water source. Furthermore, the Fox Hunter System has interconnections that receive water from the New Castle County system and the Town of Middletown.
