The Yakima Water Division provides water for about 72,624 residents living in the Yakima area. Established in 1886, the Yakima Water Division City Water collects surface water from the Naches River. When the demand arises, the City can collect upon four wells located at Kiwanis Park, Kissel Park, Gardner Park, and Yakima Airport. These wells draw from the Ellensburg Aquifer.
