The Fruitland Mutual Water Company (FMWC), a nonprofit water treatment and supply services operator, provides water for about 14,773 residents living in the area of Puyallup, Washington. Established in 1945, the Fruitland Mutual Water Company’s Water System is currently obtaining its supply from a groundwater source, five active wells drawing from the Frederickson Aquifer. FMWC also has a second source through a wholesale connection with Tacoma Public Utilities should the demand arises.
