The Mountain Home Water, a public community water system under the City Department of Public Works – Water Division, provides water for about 14,000 residents living in the area of Mountain Home, the largest city in Elmore County, Idaho. Established in 1896, the Mountain Home Water System currently obtains its supply from eight groundwater wells drawing from the Mountain Home Plateau Aquifer.
