The City of Ripley Water supplies about 5,414 residents in the Ripley area of Jackson County, West Virginia. Ripley Water Department obtains water from Mill Creek, which feeds from the watersheds in Elk Fork and O'Brien Lakes. The Water is pumped to Ripley's class III surface water treatment plant, which uses membrane filtration technology to produce potable water. The City operates seven storage tanks of 1.8 million gallons storage capacity for emergency use and distributes water across 23 miles of water mains.
