Water sources include rivers, lakes, streams, ponds, reservoirs, springs, and wells. Snoqualmie Pass Utility District collects water from two groundwater wells (Wells #4 & #5) drilled 500 feet deep into an unnamed underground aquifer within a confining layer of 300 feet of solid rock. The wells are located in the Alpental area, and the water is distributed directly to the customers with no chemical treatments.
