Utility Services of Alaska-College Utilities Corporation is a subsidiary of Fairbanks Sewer & Water (FSW), a publicly regulated water and wastewater utility company in the greater Fairbanks, Alaska area. FSW is owned by Corix, a privately held corporation that is principally owned by the British Columbia Investment Management Corporation (bcIMC). Founded in 1964, Utility Services of Alaska-College Utilities Corporation provides water to about 27,000 residents living in Fairbanks, a home rule city and the borough seat of the Fairbanks North Star Borough in Alaska. The water system currently purchases its groundwater supply pumped from three wells, 70 to 90 feet deep, with a daily pumping capacity of 3.5 million gallons. These wells draw water from a vast aquifer beneath the Tanana Valley.
